so excited

i know you've been seeing these posts around blogland for awhile now. but i'm jumping on that bandwagon all the same. i am so very excited am off tonight to check out the glam, glitz and aiden of sex and the city! i dont like wishing my life away but i'm hoping the afternoon at work flies by! 

happy birth(day)

this morning at 7.25 my day went from being just another day to a very special one!
my gorgeous friend of many, many years and her darling husband welcomed into the world a beautiful little girl.
welcome to the world sophie, it was lovely to finally meet you.
you have been blessed with two fabulous people who will make the best parents.
we look forward to spending many play dates, catch ups, holidays and of course birthdays with you.

valentines day yesterday

saw valentines day movie last night. with a girlfriend of course not my man, that wouldn't happen in a million years or not without lots of favours! anyway it's not bad, light entertainment.
very cute, a little corny but lots and lots of phwoar! so all in all very enjoyable : )

friends

its funny how people come into your life for one reason and then stay for another. when my parents group started last year i went along with a bundle of nerves, i'm not always that comfortable in social situations unless there's a few vodkas before hand. so i wasn't hopeful that i would stick it out. however being a new mum i was also really keen to chat to people that were in the same situation, so that need won over the uncomfortableness and a year on i feel so grateful that i did, as i have acquired some lovely new friends. people who have come to be very important to me and people who i can trust with my inner thoughts, feelings and fears not only in relation to my daughter but also in relation to me. it means the world!
