this little beauty is my fave find of the week. white wind up alarm clock made in czechoslovakia $2 at a local oppy.
i love it.
others in the house arent so keen with his ticking and i must admit i kept having little moments where id panic at the sound coming from the back seat while driving him home. now its grown on me and i find it quite soothing and as he now sits on my sewing table he doesnt bother anyone! : )
check out everyone elses market finds at sophies.
great find! i am starting to think i have a thing for clocks (is it because i will soon have very time to myself?)
ReplyDeleteI love the clock - its a rippa! Have you tried out the alarm yet? I bet it makes one hell of a noise.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for an alarm clock like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find! Yup - thats going to be a v loud ring!
it is cute...as long as you can go to sleep with the sound of the ticking! :)
ReplyDeletei agree. beautiful, very much so. and the ticking would drive me... :)))
ReplyDeletethats really cute!
ReplyDeleteWOW i can see why you couldn't resist it, i would've snapped it up at that price too!
ReplyDeleteMY husband would love this. He has a Russian one that I always hide as it is so loud. He FINALLY worked out how to set his mobile alarm.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely find! I've been wanting one of these for ages. Hope you have a gorgeous week :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute clock - does it keep good time? I used to have one and was too lazy to wind it often enough to stop the alarm going off 15 minutes late!
ReplyDeleteisn't it amazing how loud ticking clocks are. my younger daughter Miss C wanted one to get her up in the morning until she heard how loud it was and it was quickly kicked to the kerb and now lives with me. i love the sound of a ticking clock too. it reminds me of my childhood.
ReplyDeleteMy Flea Market Find
Be careful - clocks can become an addiction.
ReplyDeleteEvery now and then we have one that clicks louder than usual. I think it is just looking for more attention.
arent Flea markets fun? I love them I go to one in Florida every Wed morn fresh fruits and veggies .The vendors have all kinds of stuff some junk but many neat old things also .It is a hard habit to break not to go to these places or garage sales also .
