started back full time last monday. wasn't that fun!!
anyway i'll stop whinging and get to the point i need help.
tips, cheat sheets, advice, fail proof 5 minute recipes whatever it may be on how on earth people do this! work full time study part time run a house hold love educate cherish discipline encourage etc an 18 month old have some me time & sleep. people do it all the time i know they do but i'm still trying to figure out how. what's the trick?
It sounds like you have a big challenge ahead of you. Personally I think if you are working full time then study could wait, or the other way around. If not then you will need lots of support to get you through the week, do you have family that can help? I would meal plan so that you don't have to think about that, maybe cook on Sunday's and freeze things for the week ahead. My biggest tip is don't be too proud to ask friends/family for help. Good luck and remember to look after yourself too xo
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, wow... no wonder you need a bit of a whinge every now and then - I found going from 2 days to 3 days a week of work hard enough! I'd suggest asking for as much help as you can, taking shortcuts sometimes - we eat a lot of really plain food on the busy days in our week (eg: cook pasta, then throw a jar of passata, grated carrot, and frozen peas into a big pan/wok and heat, then throw in a tub of ricotta and the cooked pasta, mix, top with parmesan and call it dinner... not attractive, but tastes alright!). Make sure you DO have time for yourself somehow, too. Take care, catherine x
ReplyDeletethank you both so much for your suggestions and thoughts. i truly appreciate the support! hope you both have lovely weeks : ) xo
ReplyDeleteyou need some quick recipe meals with few key ingredients, perhaps cooking some meals in advance, or feeding little one and then once asleep cook for you and your partner (and have some quality one on one time!!). Check out www.froggoosebear.blogspot.com - a lovely blog by a mum of 3 who has just posted some quick meals - coz even us stay at home mums love quick dinner ideas!! Good luck ;-)
